About me

Hey there!

I’m Rachael Healy, a part-time potter based in Pōneke (Wellington).

For several years now, I've been immersed in the art of clay—spinning on the wheel and shaping by hand. My home in Roseneath is where I've carved out my cozy studio, complete with a trusty wheel and bench space that allows me to work pottery magic during my spare moments!

I'm constantly exploring new techniques and diving deeper into the world of forms and glazes. My pieces reflect this adventurous spirit so you won't find many "set" offerings in my shop. Instead, each creation tells its own unique story, drawn from bursts of creativity and everyday inspirations.

Whether it’s a morning mug or a statement piece, each item is crafted with a blend of strength and whimsy. I hope they bring you as much joy as they bring me!

The piece I want is out of stock

You obviously have impeccable taste! Get in touch via Instagram and I will let you know when another piece can be made available.

I would love something bespoke

Love this and am here for this. Send more information on instagram about what you are after (ideally with pictures or drawings for reference) and I will see what can be done.

How long must I wait for a piece to be ready

There are multiple stages of the pottery process which all need to go smoothly in order for your piece to pop out at the end in all of it's glory. All things going well, I would estimate 3 weeks. It might take more or less, depending on complexity and what else I am juggling. I will give you a heads up if it is going to be more!

How much is postage?

This depends on how close you live to my studio! NZ Post dictates its roughly $6 for fellow pōneke residents, $12 for North Island residents and $18 for my friends in the South Island.

Do you ship internationally?

Sorry no, not yet! I want to make sure every piece arrives safe and sound (as well as at an affordable price). I need to do more homework on this. Stay tuned as it will be an option in future!
